Character Name: Koya Sakagami (given name>family name)
Character Series: Loveless
Age: 16 or 17
Background: In a world very much like our own, there are pairs of two people that share the same "true name" that can battle with words. The Fighter casts the word spells, and the Sacrifice takes the majority of the damage, as well as commanding the Fighter. Koya is a Fighter and Yamato is her Sacrifice, but they're different than other pairs. They are genetically modified humans, called Zero, unable to feel pain and seen as the ultimate team. However, since they're not considered a natural pair, Yamato can be replaced if Nagisa, the person that "created" them thinks she isn't doing a good job. This causes Koya to become sick with stress, and she overreacts when she finds another pair of Zeroes, saying that Yamato is the only one for her. In the battle between the other Zeroes, Koya is given permission to cast a spell that only she knows, but this severs the bond between them. Yamato is no longer a Zero, which means she can feel pain when she couldn't before. When Koya finds this out during the battle between Ritsuka and Soubi, they decide that they will no longer be Zero, calling Nagisa and telling her that her zeroes have "died", and promise to always love each other.
In Loveless, virginity is marked by cat ears, and both Koya and Yamato have lost their ears, though Koya does wear fake ones in public.
Personality: She seems cold to other people, but she just needs to get used to a person before she can really talk to them. The only person she truly cares about is Yamato and can get pretty scary if there's any possibility of her being replaced by another Sacrifice. She is very serious, and has been known to practically quote a dictionary on what a word means, but she can be a bit more light-hearted (but only to Yamato at the time being)
Item Lost: Nagisa-sensei's cellphone (it's what made her feel like she was a Zero, so I'm sure it's important somehow)
